Getting Baptized for the first time

On October 9,2016 I will be getting baptized for the first time at Grace on Anderson at eleven am in the morning. But before we get to that I’m going to tell you how I got to this point in my life.  Well I used to go to church in my hometown in Spring TX, with a family friend of mine. She uses to make sure my family and I got up every Sunday morning to go to church and encourage us to keep going every Sunday. She was showing us the right way to go and that way was Christ. But one day I was just starting middle school I got a phone call from my mom that she had passed away. That was one of the worst news I have ever had in my life I didn’t know how to respond to that. So I asked my mom if she could come get me and the whole day I was crying and didn’t want to eat. So Sunday came around and we went to church to pray for her and I asked God to watch over her, make sure she was there with God in heaven. After that Sunday I stopped going to church because she wasn’t there to take me on Sunday mornings and I haven’t been back until now when I moved here to college station. That was 6 years ago I don't know why I just lost my way for a while. When I moved to college station it was the best choice I have ever made because I meet my new best friend named Avery. She helped me find my way back by taking me to Breakaway when I went there for the first time it just hit me all at once and it felt great. I don't know how to explain this, but when we were talking about the Bible and singing, it just hit me. Somehow, I got this great feeling in me and I knew right then this was for me. so after that I wanted to start going back to church to find my way back to Christ. So she started taking me to an organization called CRU that were I meet a lot of my news friends and started taking me to the number one place I haven’t been in six years’ church called Grace on Anderson street. When I went for the second time to grace they were talking about in October 9th was baptize day at grace. I said to myself this would be great for me to get closer to God in my own way.  So for about a month, I was thinking about getting baptized and I decided to tell my friends and family about this and they are really happy about how fast I'm picking up and understanding about this. I regret missing six years of my life with God and Jesus. So I just wanted to thank my best friend Avery. For helping me step the right way to Christ. So that’s why I have decided to get Baptized and this Sunday is going be the best moment in my life that I will never forget.
